We had a little reminder of the floods no one will ever forget.

 

Creek flooded

? What is now white water rapids? usually is only a tiny gentle babbling creek.

 

Simon Estes Amphitheater flooded

? There won’t be any concerts tonight at the Simon Estes Ampitheater.

 

Des Moines River Flooded

? The Des Moines River near 9th Ave has bloated into a lake.

? See the high water at the far bridge.? Debris from the shores of the river have been swept up by the high waters.

Gray’s Lake flooded.? It became an extension of the river.

    There are some really cool pictures in this blog… I like the one of the tree, sunset, and the water… Also MLK and Rich looking. It looks like someone looking in disbelife.

    Supercool.
    Some things never change about Des Moines–like the flooding, particularly in areas near the Raccoon River.
