Newsflash: I apologize for the severe delay in posts. We bought our first house two months ago, which has resulted in numerous construction projects consuming all of our available time. Lucky for you I have more fresh content waiting to come your way. I will now resume more regular posting intervals. Thanks for your patience.

Following a presentation I viewed of Chase Jarvis at PhotoShelter, I added some adrenaline to my imagination. I’ve long appreciated photography of what people don’t see in ordinary everyday life. Some quick examples off the top of my head are his night golfing and carjacking shoots. You just don’t see this type of edginess in still images. The outstanding contribution Chase has made to this art led me to reach a little further into the unseen world.

SCARY. I think I will find a new baby photographer. One that doesn’t point guns.

Elisha: Have you considered Macy in poses like these for a second shoot? There’s something about baby girls and guns that really meshes well.

I’m trying to get her into nudes. I don’t think we want to do anything with guns yet, maybe when she’s too fat to pose naked

I have a fabulous idea. You know how Anne Geddes takes pictures of babies in flower pots and other cute things? You could be the pioneer photographer of babies with guns.

Great idea! Then maybe I’ll check with Meredith Corporation to see if they would take me up on a new magazine, Guns and Ammo for Babies… with a photos of the week section.

Like the red background on the first one, it adds more to the feel. You should try the last post with the red backdrop.

Thanks Gabe, that’s what I was trying for. I’m not a great model, I had to try the facial expression a couple time to get it right.
