Still in Chicago, we ventured down to the Navy Pier area. Of the hundreds of “must see” attractions in Chicago, Navy Pier is up there in the top 5 most popular.

Our seagull friend visited for a while, we shared some popcorn with him. I realize it’s no cold mushy worm, but that’s all we had for him. It turned out he loved the stuff.

Nice capture of the couple kissing in the nighttime cityscape. Also love the ferris wheel shots.

Nice pics. Second to last is a cool catch, turned out good. No pics, but you had to have had some Chi-style pizza while in town, right?

This was my favorite day of the trip, I think. I love the pictures from the Ferris wheel.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. The second to last was definitely one of my favorites. I was very pleased that they didn’t move away after I set the camera up.
Floydwall: Actually on the last evening before we intended to drive home we ate at Giordano’s in Addison, near Itasca. It was some severely awesome pizza, beating out many other authentic Italian pizza’s I’ve tried. Their story is interesting, see http://www.giordanos.com/about.php for more on that.
While at Giordano’s we decided to put off going back to work for another day and stayed in town until the next evening. Having our luggage in the car and checked out of the unimpressive Holiday Inn in Itasca, we stayed at the comparatively swanky Hampton Inn just down the street from Giordano’s.

Nick - these pics are awesome. I love the contrasts in colors and focus levels, as well as the content in the pictures.

Now that, is some real pizza. I just may have to try out there mail-order, first time I’ve seen that before.
