After shooting Gator, the sky became even weirder than the previous couple hours.? The sky was soon consumed by these crazy vibrant colors as the sun was setting.? I scrambled to find something decent yet as close as possible to put in the foreground of a picture, before the colors fade away.
We went to Dubuqe to visit relatives for the weekend.? If you can, own stock in a company that provides a service you like to use.? Because a relative owns stock in the company that owns Mainstay Suites, we received a 50% discount.? The? hotel room? was more similar to an apartment than a hotel.? It was complete with bedroom, full kitchen, a living room, and office area.? We paid the same rate? that Motel 6 on E 14th St. in Des Moines? charges.? That’s like comparing apples and peanuts.
Shuey needed someone to help him drop his car off at Stew Hansen’s Dodge City to get it looked at for some electrical problems.? While we were there? I was wondering if the Dodge lineup included any good looking cars again.? Hidden behind the repair garages we found a row of obscenely? smashed vehicles.? They must be buying these for nothing from insurance companies, fixing them up, then selling them for major profit.? No warranty on their patchwork, sold as is.?

If you recently purchased a car from Stewie, please peel that stupid red and black SH sticker off your tail end.? Normal sized dealer emblems are ugly enough, but these huge stickers are hideous.? Not to mention that they used a non-neutral color instead of having a clear background.? Phase two: placing mural sized ads on the roof of every vehicle for those of multi level buildings to see.
Noticing evidence? that this building may be resurrected soon, I wanted to capture it in it’s derelict state.
This is some Mexican restaurant a few buildings down that’s being remodeled.
? Biff was in town again, with his van entitled “Sofa King Loud.”
My flash settings were messed up? so I nuked his face to death a few times.
He didn’t blink this time.? That’s probably why he could only? see shapes of objects for the next hour.

? We went to Shuey’s for a kegger.
Richard pops a squat in? front of everyone.? He had to shake dry cause he forgot toilet paper.?
Chris made sure to advertise the website to? everyone that didn’t know about it.?
Then Chris molested my light stand.
? We went to North forty on the South side of Des Moines to play some mini golfing/putt putt.? This is still the best location to play in metro Des Moines.? Others have tried to compete but they fail in comparison.? They’re open late and it seems to me more fun to play after sun-down.? As a bonus, they’re BYOB, so you can drink on the course.
It’s really hard to take decent pictures and manage to play at the same time.? I was putting between shots instead of changing the necessary lighting and camera settings.? As a result almost all the pictures sucked.
After receiving my Nikon SB-28 flash purchased? off Ebay, I went to Christian Photo and got a cheap studio lighting setup.? I? bought a lighting stand, umbrella, umbrella holder, and optical flash trigger.? Time to test out the new gadgets.? Lighting shall be boring no more.
? Cats don’t make the best test subjects.? Light doesn’t reflect off fur the same way as it does off skin.
Apparently I have to share my toys.

Cherish, Shuey, and I went to Cory’s on the East side to hang out for a while.

We ran into Chad,? one of Cherish’s 200+ cousins.? He’s into photography too,? with a Nikon D50 at home.
Not sure but it looks like Shuey assaulted him.
His friend offered to fix his hair after the scuffle.? Why doesn’t anyone ever offer to fix my hair?
