It was my car for a couple years. I traded it in on this day.

I’ll miss that ‘Lac Nick! for the best though, plus your new car is tight.

What kind of car do you have now?

I miss it too, probably it’s comfort and interior design the most.
I traded it in for a much newer Grand Prix. I know it sounds like a backwards move, but I have my reasons.
The Caddy was much too expensive to maintain. For example it costs $1500 to replace the rear suspension because it’s electronic and it has air bags for leveling. One thing I did repair was the rotors, which costed me a small fortune, and they still warped. The engine ate healthy amounts of oil the whole time I had it, and the last few months it washed it down with plenty of coolant. The dreaded head gasket failure. Not wanting to spend the resale value of the car on replacing the V8 Northstar engine, it was time to call it quits. The car had some intermittent electric gremlins also.
I got sick of the way the car handles too. Maybe it was just the blown rear suspension, but the car drove and cornered like a clumbsy baboon walks. On the highway it was impossible to keep between the lines. The enormous weight of the car was aggrevating in stop and go traffic, where it spent 90% of it’s time.
When it started eating coolant for breakfast, that was the last straw. I decided it’s time to get something much more simple and affordable to maintain. Much better gas mileage is nice too, especially since I can use the ethanol blend instead of premium only now.
